  • At Your Service

The AACN Resource Center, located adjacent to registration and the exhibit hall, is where you’ll find the answers to questions about the association, the conference or the city of Orlando. Need an extra scantron form? Looking for the CE computers? Curious about registration hours? Ask us. And if we don’t know the answers, rest assured we will dig until we find them. The Resource Center is sponsored by ADVANCE News Magazines.

    AACN Bookstore

Browse a wide selection of resources specific to advanced practice, certification, clinical practice, ethics, progressive care, research, and education. You’ll find protocols, audio/videotapes, clinical publications, pocket reference cards, instructor manuals, apparel, and recognition products. Make your trip home from Orlando simpler by ordering AACN products online using the computers in the bookstore. Your order will be shipped directly to your home or office, leaving more room in your suitcase for souvenirs.

    Audiotapes for Sale

If you were unable to attend a session or just want to bring a piece of NTI home to a colleague, visit the National Nursing Network booth to purchase audio tapes of most sessions.

Cyber Café and Internet Message Center

    Sponsored by Monster
Check your e-mail, communicate with those at home or the office, or get up-to-the minute NTI information in this internet and e-mail communications center.

    Mail Home Service

    Sponsored by GE Healthcare
AACN offers participants the convenience of shipping materials directly home or to the office through the Mail Home Service. For a nominal shipping fee, lighten your load for the return trip home. Decorate your box and be eligible to win prizes in the Box Art Contest.

    The Certification Oasis Lounge

Co-Sponsored by Clarian Health Partners and AACN
Attendees with CCRN, CCNS or ACNP certification are invited to the Oasis to catch a quiet moment between sessions or share time with your colleagues. And if you aren’t certified but would like more information, stop in to speak with representatives of the AACN Certification Corporation.

    Childcare

Children are not permitted in teaching sessions. Please check with your hotel concierge for childcare options. AACN does not encourage children’s attendance at the Critical Care Exposition. If necessary, children will be admitted only when accompanied by a badge-wearing NTI participant. For the safety of all attendees and exhibitors, strollers are not permitted in the exhibit hall and participants should monitor their child’s activities at all times.

    Shuttle Services

Shuttle service will be available between all of the official AACN hotels (except the Peabody Orlando and the Rosen Centre) and the convention center. Shuttle schedules will be posted in the hotel lobbies.

    To Your Health

Out of consideration for the health of all staff, participants, exhibitors and vendors, the National Teaching Institute is strictly a non-smoking meeting. Smoking is not permitted in the convention center, meeting rooms, exhibit halls or at AACN-sponsored events. Please adhere to all posted signs and smoke only in designated areas.

    Dressing for Comfort

May in Orlando means steamy outdoor temperatures in the high 80s. Indoors, however, is another story. Since temperatures in meeting rooms vary, it’s always a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater. Casual business attire is appropriate for the conference, and a pair (or two) of comfortable shoes is highly recommended.
