Welcome to the new web site of GMAC (Greater Memphis Area Chapter). Our old web site will continue for awhile to allow for transition time. We look forward to you joining us at one of our seminars or quarterly meetings. They are open to all. Our board meetings are the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 at McAlisters on Poplar in Germantown. Check us out, chip in ideas, stuff envelopes and mail, introduce speakers, be a liaison, collect money or any one of many other things. No skill required - we encourage and train! Our membership ranges from 90-120 with representation from all over the greater Memphis area. Being part of AACN helps to give you a broader view of nursing when you can get hung up on details at work. Others are working in similar fashion and can help us each see the light and keep up to date.

1.Surveys and ballots have been mailed out to members. We value your input!
2. Plans are underway for a "Focus Group" - starting with a dinner this summer.This goup would act as an idea/feedback generator.We want to have seminars and speakers that reflect our professional nursing community and its needs. Let us know if you would like to participate.

Elaine Fetzer Excellance in Critical-Care Award:
Amanda Norr, a student at Loewenberg School of Nursing, received the Elaine Fetzer Excellance in Critical Care Nursing Award at the December Pinning Ceremony. She also received a hundred dollars.
