Healthy Work Environments takes center stage
This year's NTI features an array of sessions that will educate
and inspire you to be an active part of improving the health of our work environments.
Look for the
symbol to identify sessions
focusing on this important content. One of the most unique ways this content will
be delivered at NTI 2007 is through an innovative workshop titled
"Bedside
Manners."
This interactive, 3-hour
Mastery session features a play written by playwright Lisa Hayes and journalist
Suzanne Gordon.
"Bedside
Manners"
seeks to raise awareness about and elicit thinking around strategies for improving
nurse-physician
communication to enhance relationships and protect patients from harm. Its message
clearly links to AACN's
ongoing efforts to promote Healthy Work Environments. Gordon, Hayes and AACN's past President
Connie Barden will lead group exercises and discussions.
Don't miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain insight into how improved communication
and collaboration build a healthier work environment.
