AACN Information Center
Sponsored by ADVANCE Newsmagazine

The AACN Information Center is staffed by a team dedicated to providing assistance and information to conference attendees. You will find the answer to all of your AACN-related questions in the AACN Resource Center, located in Halls F1-F2. We field questions about everything from Scantron forms to shuttle buses, and if we don't know the answers, rest assured we will dig until we find them. This comprehensive information hub is staffed by experts in all facets of the association and includes the AACN Bookstore, membership materials, practice resources, chapter and volunteer opportunities, and much more.

AACN Publications

AACN publishes evidence-based interdisciplinary knowledge for high-acuity and critical care professionals. Stop by our booth in the Exhibit Hall or our booth in the Resource Center to experience our research journal, the American Journal of Critical Care, our clinical journal, Critical Care Nurse, our monthly newsletter, AACN News, and our advanced practice quarterly, AACN Advanced Critical Care. Chat with editors Kathleen Dracup, Peter Morris, and Grif Alspach. Give us your opinions and take a short survey for a chance at winning an iPod nano.

CE Computers

The CE Computer area at NTI allows participants to enter their attended sessions and events for continuing education credits. The participants can either plan out their activities and enter all the sessions at once, or enter the sessions into the CE Computers after they attend the sessions. The CE Computers will consolidate all of the entered sessions into a final certificate that can be printed out. AACN will also make the certificate available (for printing only) on the AACN Web site after the conference.

Certification Oasis

Sponsored by Clarian Health Partners in partnership with AACN Certification Corporation

The Certification Oasis provides ACNPC, ACNP, CCNS, CCRN, PCCN, CMC and CSC certified nurses and CCRN Alumni with a place to catch a quiet moment between sessions and enjoy light refreshments and conversation with colleagues. Individuals interested in attaining certification are welcome to stop in and speak with representatives of AACN Certification Corporation about our certification and renewal programs and other questions you may have about certification.

Chapter Booth

The Host Chapter Booth will have the official NTI T-shirt for sale, manages Lost & Found, and can answer questions about the Chicago area. There is much to enjoy at this year's meeting, and if there is anything we can do to help, please stop by our booth and ask.

Cyber Cafe and Internet Message Center

Sponsored by Monster

Check your e-mail, communicate with those at home or the office, or get up-to-the-minute NTI information in this Internet and e-mail communications center.

Message Center

The Message Center will be staffed during NTI with an operator who will take messages and input them into a computer system that can be accessed by all NTI attendees. We will provide the Message Center number shortly. We recommend that you leave this number, in addition to your hotel information, with your family in case of an emergency. There will be no paging in the convention center, so please check for messages regularly.

PDA Center

You will find everything you need for your clinical practice at the AACN PDA Center. From the latest in devices, to thousands of software applications, the choice is always yours. Explore your favorite clinical references and drug guides, plus much, much more! Once you explore and use a PDA in your daily practice, you'll wonder how you ever got along without one.

Registration

Any questions regarding your registration, this is the place to be. Our knowledgeable staff will answer your registration question, get you registered for the conference, sign you up for a second sunrise session or purchase an extra Participant-Exhibitor Event ticket. If you didn't receive your badge and tickets in the mail prior to the conference, we have them here.

Self-Study Pavilion

In addition to general preconferences, concurrent and mastery sessions, the popular Self-Study Pavilion offers a unique way to experience NTI and earn continuing nursing education credit through independent self-study. The Pavilion is comprised of two areas:

  • E-Learning and Mobile Resources Lab
Step into the new E-Learning and Mobile Resources Lab, where you will experience many of AACN's e-learning resources such as Basic ECG, Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO), and Essentials of Nurse Manager Orientation (ENMO) courseware. You'll also explore more than 30 audio/slide CD-ROM presentations by NTI speakers, certification review courses, NTI posters and more.
And learn all about how Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and iPod mobile devices enable you to enjoy AACN video and CD ROM resources on the go, to meet your mobile and media-rich learning needs. Plus, explore dozens of nurse-focused PDA software programs using a "virtual" PDA that functions just like an actual device.
  • Independent Study Lab and Library
Relax in the library while studying over 100 AACN educational catalog resources, including books, audio CDs and clinical simulation CD-ROMs.
