Celeste Smith (left) and Iris Trahan, president and past president, respectively, of the Greater New Orleans Chapter of AACN prepared to deliver items collected during the recent NTI.

Clothing, toys and long-distance calling cards along with more than $600 in cash were presented to the Metropolitan Battered Women’s Program (MBWP) by the Greater New Orleans Chapter of AACN following the 1999 National Teaching Institute™ and Critical Care Exposition in New Orleans, La., in May

As the host chapter for the NTI, the Greater New Orleans Chapter sponsored a drive to collect items for the program.

“Your gift will assist MBWP in our continuous mission of breaking the cycle of domestic violence,” a program representative wrote to thank the chapter and NTI and exposition participants for their generosity. “Metropolitan Battered Women’s Program accepts your gracious gift with heart felt thanks and appreciation.”
