Chapters Can Save on NTI Registrations

Chapters that plan to sponsor officers or members to attend the 1999 National Teaching Institute™ and Critical Care Exposition can get a break if they submit registration fees by the April 7, 1999, early bird deadline.

The NTI, which again will feature the Advanced Practice Institute,™ along with 5 educational tracks focused on adult critical care, continuum of care, leadership, trauma, and pediatrics/neonatal content, is scheduled for May 16 through 20 in New Orleans, La.

Chapters can register 4 members for the NTI for the price of 3 and save $325 off the already discounted early bird registration fee. Or, they can register 2 members and receive a 10% discount off the early bird fee.

To qualify for these savings, registration fees must be paid with an official chapter check. Full payment must be submitted with the registrations.

Included among the numerous educational sessions and learning labs at the NTI are many activities geared specifically to chapters.

Network Night on May 16 is a good way to start the NTI, with an opportunity for chapter members to mingle with other members from their regions and from across the country. In addition, lunchtime workshops provide a chance for chapter members to learn more about ways to enhance their chapter’s skills and effectiveness.

The Chapter President’s Luncheon, an invitational event that again is sponsored by Mallinckrodt Inc., is set for May 19.

Also scheduled in conjunction with the NTI is the annual Awards Breakfast, where AACN Circle of Excellence honors including chapter awards are announced.

For more information or to register for the NTI, call (800) 899-AACN (2226), or visit the AACN home page at http://www.aacn.org.
