Waiting for You in Orlando
Members of the Metropolitan Orlando Chapter of
AACN are waiting
to greet participants at NTI 2004 in their city.
Representatives will be
on hand to answer questions about the area.
NTI 2004 Offers Chapters the Chance to
Network, Share Ideas
From leadership development to sharing successes,
AACNs National Teaching Institute and Critical Care Exposition, May 15 through
20 in Orlando, Fla., offers plenty of interest to chapters.
In addition to providing opportunities to network
with representatives of other chapters, NTI sessions address a range of topics
specifically related to chapters.
Leading off the lineup of chapter-related activities
is the annual Chapter Leadership Development Workshop on Sunday. And, Network
Night on Sunday is always an ideal event for chapters representatives to mingle
with others, not only from their regions but also from across the country.
The annual Chapter Presidents Luncheon, sponsored by
Nellcor/Tyco Healthcare, is another special event that highlights and recognizes
chapters at the NTI.
Other sessions throughout the NTI that are geared to
chapter interests include:
Advancing the Critical Care Nurse: Continuing
Education in the 21st Century will focus on approaches to planning successful
educational programs and seminars. In addition, the AACN awards and scholarship
program, as well as strategies for promoting critical care nursing as a career
choice for new graduates will be discussed.
A Field of Dreams: If You Plan It, They Will Come
will focus on program planning and implementation, marketing and promotion,
coordinating facilities and conference services support, financial management,
registration, evaluation and accreditation.
The Chapter Board: A Sum Greater Than Its Parts will
discuss the importance of team building and strategies useful in creating a
cohesive board.
Chapter Strategic Planning 101 will introduce
concepts and tools related to strategic and operational planning.
Multi-Chapter Collaboration: Formula for Success
will focus on collaborative efforts, evaluative techniques and best practices in
relation to multichapter collaboration.
