Dr. Jeremy (H.J.C.) Swan, the co-developer of the Swan-Ganz heart catheter, died Feb. 7. He was 82.
The chairman emeritus of the Division of Cardiology at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and a past president of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Swan was a member of the editorial board of AACN’s scientific journal from 1976 to 1992. AACN awarded him honorary membership in 1994.
Dr. Swan’s impact as a world leader in cardiology was immense. He will be missed.
