Chapters Respond to Meet SePA Scholarship Challenge
Milwaukee Chapter Rounds Out $100K Gift to Endowment

At NTI 2004, during the Chapter President’s Luncheon, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter issued a challenge. The goal was to raise $100,000 for AACN’s Scholarship Endowment, which provides financial support for undergraduate and graduate nursing students, as well as NTI continuing education scholarships. The SePA Chapter pledged to match other chapter contributions up to a total of $50,000 over the next three years. The challenge has been completed!

Capping off the SePA Challenge at NTI 2006 with a $6,000 pledge was the Greater Milwaukee Area Chapter. This means the AACN Scholarship Endowment will receive the full $100,000 ($50,000 from SePA and $50,000 from other chapters).

“We were very excited to be the ones to complete the challenge! Education is our focus and we are serving our mission when we donate to such worthwhile causes,” said Jeannine Davis, Greater Milwaukee Area Chapter president.

“I was so proud to see my home chapter take on this national leadership role,” said AACN board member Beth Hammer, who helped to identify this opportunity to advance the chapter’s educational missions through the gift.
