When the nursing management and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital's Critical Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit learned they had earned the prestigious Beacon Award, they did what comes naturally. They continued to provide exemplary patient care as they do every day but took a moment to celebrate the good news.

The Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical Nurses was validating for these hard-working Cottage staff who understand better than most that the challenges and the rewards of the nursing profession are indeed worth celebrating.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is proud to have earned the AACN Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence.
