As Chief Executive Officer of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), Wanda works to guide the organization's three companies (AACN-The Member Organization, The AACN Certification Corporation and The InnoVision Group toward the attainment of their respective missions and visions while optimizing their synergistic relationship.
Previously, Wanda was employed by Duke University Health System in Durham, NC as the Associate Operating Officer of Medical/Surgical/Critical Care Services.
From 1993 to 1998, Wanda worked within AACN, first as Director of Professional Development/Ethics. She was promoted subsequently to Vice President of Operations for InnoVision Group where she directed the start-up of this for-profit subsidiary of AACN.
Wanda's past experience also includes positions as Director of Critical Care Services at the University of Washington Medical Center; Past President of the AACN Board of Directors; Director of Critical Care and Inpatient Surgery at Overlake Hospital Medical Center; Faculty Member at the University of Washington School of Nursing; and Manager and English Language Instructor at the Gram English Institute in Taiwan.
