Group Discount Program

AACN Certification Corporation offers discounted exam application fees to hospitals or AACN chapters submitting ten (10) or more applications together in one packet. The group discount is valid for initial CCRN, PCCN, CCRN-E, CMC, CSC, CCNS and ACNPC certification exams to be taken via computer-based testing at an AMP Testing Center. (Group discount does not apply to group paper & pencil exam sessions).

A single contact person for the group may request the discount by collecting exam applications/fees and submitting them along with the Cover Sheet for Group Application Submissions, which can be found in the Group Discount Exam Application.

Different exams may be combined in the packet to reach the minimum number of 10 applications. Proper payment for each exam must accompany the applications.

Group discount exam pricing is as follows:

The discounted group pricing varies for AACN members and nonmembers. If nonmembers wish to join at the same time as applying for the exam, they may pay $69 for a year of membership (regular annual AACN membership fee is $78) along with member pricing for their exam.

Anyone applying as part of a group is eligible for the $69 membership rate (no minimum; new or renewing member). Learn more about AACN Membership.

All applicants must meet eligibility requirements for their respective exam and thoroughly review the exam handbook for their certification program prior to applying.

To apply, candidates will need to:

• Complete the special 2-page exam application and 1-page honor statement for your selected exam found in the Group Discount Exam Application.
  • CCNS and ACNPC applicants should use the application/documents found in the CCNS Exam Handbook or ACNPC Certification Handbook. 
  • Include the CCNS or ACNPC discounted group fee as listed in the table above.
• Provide your completed exam application and fee to your group coordinator/contact person.

The group coordinator/contact person will need to:

• Set an internal due date to receive all applications. 
• Collect all applications and payments, and review for completeness. 
• Complete the Cover Sheet for Group Application Submissions located in the Group Discount Exam Application. 
• Submit the completed cover sheet, all applications and fee payment(s) in the same envelope to:

The contact person will be notified via email when the group of applications is received and processed. An email and postcard with exam scheduling information will be sent to each applicant.

Advantages of computer-based testing include immediate score reporting and flexibility of scheduling. Each applicant has a 90-day period during which to schedule and sit for their exam.

Testing is offered six days per week, twice daily at over 175 Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. (AMP) testing centers across the U.S. Locate your nearest computer-based testing center.

Bulk Discount Program

A bulk discount on certification exam fees may be obtained by an employer's prepayment of certification fees for blocks of fifty (50) exams. Bulk discounts are available for computer-based testing only.

The discount must be requested at least two (2) months in advance of desired testing dates, and is good for initial CCRN, PCCN, CCRN-E, CMC and CSC certification exams to be taken via computer-based testing at an AMP Testing Center (discount does not apply to group paper and pencil exam sessions or to CCNS, ACNPC and CNML exams).

Different exams may be combined to make a total block of fifty (50) exams. Prepaid vouchers will be provided for the employer to distribute to exam candidates. Candidates will then attach the voucher to their standard certification exam application.

Vouchers are valid for two years from the date of issue, may not be redeemed for cash or for another exam type and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

Vouchers cover the exam fee only, not AACN membership.
