CCRN and PCCN Renewal by Synergy CERPs

Renewal by Synergy CERPs integrates the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care into AACN Certification Corporation renewal programs.

The Renewal by Synergy CERPs program, with Category A, B, & C CERP requirements, is aimed at aligning initial certification and renewal requirements in both framework and emphasis and better preparing certified nurses for the future.

As compared to the prior Renewal by CERPs program, the number of CERPs required (100 in a 3-year period) is the same with Renewal by Synergy CERPs, but category names, definitions and minimum category requirements are different.

Renewing CCRNs and PCCNs may renew their certification by Synergy CERPs or retake the exam.
