Nurse in Washington Internship

For the third year, the AACN scholarship program will support attendance by AACN members at the 2012 Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) program, Sunday, February 26, through Tuesday, February 28, in Washington, D.C.

The highly regarded NIWI program — sponsored by the Nursing Organizations Alliance, a coalition to create a strong voice for nurses — teaches nurses how to influence health policy at the local and national levels. Nurses visit Capitol Hill and acquire the skills needed to work with legislators to advance policies and agendas. Visit www.nursing-alliance.org for information about NIWI.

Scholarship applications for the 2012 NIWI program are now closed.
