Up to 25 individuals who exemplify excellence in the care of acutely and critically ill patients and their families will be chosen annually for a Circle of Excellence award. These recipients become part of the Circle of Excellence Society.
Nominees for a Circle of Excellence award must be nominated by a colleague. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Please refer to the Circle of Excellence general information, guidelines and restrictions, nomination form, and evaluation criteria.
AACN chapters that have made a difference in the healthcare profession and their communities are chosen each year to receive AACN Circle of Excellence recognition awards. This awards program recognizes contributions and achievements that exemplify AACN's mission, vision, values and ethic of care, and applauds excellence. This award recognizes the chapters that best exemplify the annual theme of AACN's president. Successful nominees will demonstrate how their chapter has exemplified the president's theme throughout the year. Chapters will be evaluated on programs and activities that were completed from July 1, 2009 to date of submission and programs that are planned for the rest of the year.
