The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and AACN Certification Corporation are proud of the ongoing efforts and work done through the AACN Ambassador program. AACN Ambassadors are individuals who promote AACN and certification (such as CCRN, PCCN, CMC, CSC, CCNS, ACNPC and CNML) in their workplace. Additionally, they act as liaisons among their communities, institutions, medical facilities and a variety of other settings and AACN's National Office in an effort to recruit new members, introduce AACN standards and protocols in their workplace, and promote both the value of certification and the value of nursing. AACN Ambassadors need not be AACN members or currently certified. As an AACN Ambassador you are entitled to 5 CERPs (Category C or O) per year toward recertification of the CCRN or PCCN credential - up to 15 CERPs per renewal period.
AACN Ambassadors will receive periodic mailings and e-mail correspondence containing valuable information about AACN and certification that can be posted on bulletin boards in work units promoting both AACN and certification. Ambassadors may also speak about AACN and certification to their co-workers, colleagues, and managers, as well as serve as a resource on AACN's credentialing programs.
