ACCNS — Certification for Adult-Gerontology, Pediatric and Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialists
ACCNS is an entry-level advanced practice certification for nurses educated at the graduate level as clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) to provide advanced nursing care across the continuum of healthcare services (from wellness through acute care) to meet the specialized needs of adult-gerontology, pediatric or neonatal patient populations.
The ACCNS exams are in alignment with the requirements of the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation: Licensure, Accreditation, Certification and Education.

The Adult-Gerontology CNS (ACCNS-AG) and Pediatric CNS (ACCNS-P) exams were launched July 10, 2013. Eligible candidates may apply online or submit a paper application.
The Neonatal CNS (ACCNS-N) exam will be launched in 2014.
