A Community of Exceptional Nurses
ACCNS is an entry-level advanced practice certification for nurses educated at the graduate level as clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) to provide advanced nursing care across the continuum of healthcare services (from wellness through acute care) to meet the specialized needs of adult-gerontology, pediatric or neonatal patient populations.
The ACCNS exams are in alignment with the requirements of the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation: Licensure, Accreditation, Certification and Education. To learn more about the APRN Consensus Model, visit the APRN Resources section of this website.
The Adult-Gerontology CNS (ACCNS-AG) and Pediatric CNS (ACCNS-P) exams are targeted to be launched July 10, 2013. The Neonatal CNS (ACCNS-N) exam will be launched in 2014.
