Catch the Spirit
Engage and Transform. I hope this theme inspires you as it did me when I chose it for my presidential year. I believe strongly that we must be engaged not only in identifying what needs to be transformed in our healthcare environments, but also in driving the transformation itself. After all, if we are not engaged, how can we expect the transformation to be achieved?
Engage and Transform is also the theme of AACN’s 2006 National Teaching Institute and Critical Care Exposition, scheduled for May 20 through 25 in Anaheim, Calif. This premier educational conference for critical care nurses is often the setting that reinvigorates us to return to our workplaces and share a spirit bolstered by our coming together with others of like mind.
