Description
The science of nursing should be based on evidence as much as possible. There are many clinical practice habits that have evolved into daily patient care without a sound research foundation. In fact, many have continued despite sound research to the contrary. This presenation reviews four of the sacred cows in critical care practice. Experts in each field will review the current evidence based practice recommendations. The presentation of the research will be followed by a discussion with the audience to address challenges of implementing practice changes and the panel members will offer suggestions and tips for continued success.
