Constructed according to the test specifications (examination blueprints), these booklets contain over 125 questions (190 questions for the adult version). Synergy items across the age spectrums are integrated into each practice exam. Correct answers, synergy model information, and a study bibliography are provided for each version (adult, pediatric, neonatal). These practice booklets are study tools only. They are a compilation of questions to be used in helping one learn how to take the CCRN examination. The exams are not complete, psychometrically valid examinations and therefore cannot be used to accurately predict or guarantee performance on an actual examination. The questions are representative of the type and format of questions that one would see on the CCRN certification examination, but do not necessarily mirror the content of an actual exam.
The Practice CCRN Exams, available in Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal versions, were revised in the Fall of 2004 to reflect findings of the most recent study of critical care nursing practice.
