Advanced Practice Institute
the Advanced Practice Institute™ (API), AACN’s “conference within a conference” at the National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition® (NTI), offers more than 60 advanced-level sessions and 20 pharmacology contact hours to build advanced practice nurses’ skills and knowledge.
More than 60 sessions for APRNs
Developed by nationally recognized advanced practice professionals, API sessions are taught at the proficient or expert level, specifically for APRNs. A wide range of hot topics includes healthcare reform, legal issues, role negotiation, the APRN value proposition, healthy work environments, competency assessment, value-based purchasing and political engagement.
Flexible ways to learn and earn CE
More than 200 API and NTI sessions will be recorded and offered online with continuing education (CE) contact hours for 60 days after the conference, adding as much extra learning as you can complete after NTI through July 2015.
Deeper dialogue on key issues
Preconferences and the NTI Summit offer deeper understanding and hands-on experiential learning on topics that influence your practice. Explore these complex issues with leading experts and your peers. For APRNs, the Intensive Neurological Exam Workshop, Suturing Skills and Palliative Care Boot Camp for the Non-Palliative Care Specialist are featured preconferences.
Time for celebration
Our SuperSessions will entertain, motivate and inspire as you gather together with thousands of your colleagues. For API registrants, the API reception on Tuesday, May 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., provides an opportunity to network and celebrate with colleagues the essential role that APRNs play in healthcare excellence.
