Advanced Practice Institute
Developed by nationally recognized advanced practice professionals, the Advanced Practice Institute (API) offers up to 35 continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours, including up to 20 pharmacology contact hours. Through more than 60 preconferences and concurrent sessions, take home evidence-based skills and knowledge that you can put into practice in today’s fast-changing high acuity and critical care environments.
API offers more than 60 sessions—a majority taught at the proficient or expert level, specifically for APRNs. A wide range of hot topics includes healthcare reform, legal issues, role negotiation, the APRN value proposition and healthy work environments.
In addition to 10 pharmacology sessions, clinical systems sessions include advanced imaging with differential diagnosis, nutrition and pain management.
Our most popular preconferences offer opportunities for hands-on experiential learning with three- and six-hour sessions providing deeper coverage on topics relevant to practice. For the advanced practice nurse, we offer the API-Dedicated Procedural Cadaver Lab and have added The How’s and Why’s of Extracorporeal Life Support to our rich program.
Throughout the week, add NTI sessions opened to all attendees, including this year’s Summit, Moral Distress Isn’t Going Away: Confronting Reality.
