November Exhibitor Bulletin

Exhibitor Portal — ExpoGuide Description, Staff Badges, Payments and/or Invoices

NEW this year is the Exhibitor Portal on the NTI website. In the portal you will need to enter your ExpoGuide description and product category listing, enter staff badges, make booth payments and/or print your invoice.

ExpoGuide description and product category listing should be entered by February 5, 2014, to be included in the ExpoGuide. If you have any questions regarding the Exhibitor Portal, please contact Maribel Aguayo at maribel.aguayo@aacn.org.

Housing

NTI 2014 housing is now open! Be sure to book early. After April 15, 2014, reservations are subject to availability.

Please note that exhibitors that cancel room reservations after this date will forfeit their first night's room and tax deposit for each room canceled. If you have any questions, please call the AACN Housing Bureau at (800) 340-1840.

ExpoEd — Education on the Exhibit Floor at NTI 2014

NTI exhibitors can offer education on the exhibit floor through ExpoEd sessions, which apply concepts and principles about patient care and clinical practice. Activities use a variety of formats — for example, live and multimedia presentations, computer-assisted self-learning and hands-on demonstrations — and must adhere to the high standards of AACN ’s educational plan.

ExpoEd presentations may discuss your company's equipment, products and services. Nurses can earn CERPs toward their AACN certification renewal for these approved educational activities on the show floor. Videotaping of ExpoEd sessions is not allowed.

Application information is posted at www.aacn.org/expoed. If you have questions, please contact Chelley D'Amato at (800) 394-5995 ext. 269 or email expoed@aacn.org.

Sunrise Sessions — Corporate-Supported Satellite Symposia

Sunrise Sessions provide your organization with a unique opportunity to host an exclusive educational session on Tuesday, May 20, or Wednesday, May 21, from 7:00-8:30 a.m. These extremely popular breakfast sessions are designed and planned by the corporate sponsor, from selecting the educational topic and expert presenter to determining the size of the audience.

AACN offers NTI attendees Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) for Sunrise Sessions. CERPs are an AACN designation for nurses to fulfill continuing education requirements to maintain AACN certifications and are similar, but not equivalent, to a CNE contact hour. Apply before November 15, 2013, to receive great benefits, including:

  • A $2,000 savings on your Sunrise Session fees and a priority time slot.
  • Greater exposure for your session by being included in NTI promotional materials.

Opportunities are limited. If you are interested in a Sunrise Session and would like to discuss the benefits, please contact Susan Flynn at (800) 394-5995, ext. 511 or email susan.flynn@aacn.org.

NEW — Hanging Signs Allowed

AACN has modified its exhibit guidelines for NTI 2014 in Denver. Exhibitors that have an island booth are now permitted to hang signs and/or banners above their exhibit display, provided the top of the sign/banner does not exceed the 20-ft. height limit and does not exceed island perimeter.

If you wish to hang a sign or banner over your island space, it does not have to touch your ground display. Exhibitors are encouraged to obtain cost estimates before any rigging is ordered.

NEW — Booth Layout Approval for Island Booths

Also new for NTI 2014: Exhibitors that have an island booth must submit their booth layout design for review and approval by March 20, 2014. Look for guidelines and more information in future bulletins and the online service kit.

Conference Support

AACN offers dozens of possibilities to maximize your presence and visibility by increasing participant awareness of an exhibitor's contributions to acute and critical care nursing. Opportunities include year-round support plus conference support of NTI special events, conference areas and official giveaway items.

For more information, please contact Randy Bauler, CEM, at (800) 394-5995 ext. 366 or email randy.bauler@aacn.org.
