Additional Evidence-Based Resources
AACN's Thunder Project® was conceptualized and developed to provide critical care nurses with a research protocol ready for institutional review and implementation.
Project goals included providing a research package (protocol, educational and data collection materials), as well as a topic of clinical significance to critical care nurses. Site coordinators and research associates were identified at participating institutions to coordinate and implement all study activities.
Getting to Zero BSI provides timely, evidence-based resources to help facilitate a community of practice. This site contains a wealth of resources that explain the many means by which catheter-associated bloodstream infections (CA-Basis) can occur as well as a variety of data-driven techniques that can be employed to reduce them.
