AACN Distinguished Research Lectureship

As one of the association's most prestigious honors, the AACN Distinguished Research Lectureship recognizes significant contributions to acute and critical care nursing research. The award is sponsored by Philips Healthcare.
Since 1982, AACN has honored a nationally known nurse researcher to present the annual Distinguished Research Lecture at the National Teaching Institute Critical Care & Exposition. The honoree is nationally recognized as a nurse researcher, known for publications, presentations, mentorship and consultation in research relevant to acute and critical care nursing.
Eligible nominees are nationally known nurse researchers who have made significant contributions over time to acute and critical care nursing through research. Current membership in AACN is required.
NOMINATION AND SELECTION
Nominations may be submitted until December 1. Nominees will be required to submit an application to candidacy, agree to present a summary of their work at the National Teaching Institute, and submit an abstract and manuscript to the American Journal of Critical Care. A panel of experts, including past Distinguished Research Lecturers, will select award recipients.
The award includes a crystal torch and an honorarium of $2,500, which is intended to defray speaking and travel expenses for the AACN National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition.
