2. Call to Action: National Consensus Initiative for Core CNS Competencies
Your help is needed to provide feedback on clinical nurse specialist draft core competencies developed by representatives from CNS stakeholder groups, including AACN and AACN Certification Corporation. The core competencies were derived from CNS scope and standards documents and competency statements developed by national nursing specialty organizations to reflect CNS practice and will be used guide future educational preparation. 3. Research: A Comparative Study of Community-Acquired Pneumonia Patients Admitted to the Ward and the ICU (Abstract)
This comparative study of community-acquired pneumonia patients shows that those in the ICU present with more severe disease and more comorbidities, stay longer in the hospital and have a much higher mortality rate than ward patients.
