AACN Certification Corporation Board

Nanette Logan, DNP, RN, CCRN-K, CNL, RN-BC, NE-BC, serves a three-year term as a director on the AACN Certification Corporation board of directors from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2023.
Logan is chief nursing officer at Regional Medical Center, San Jose, California. Previously, she was associate chief nursing officer at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California, and director of critical care services at Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California. Logan is committed to improving patient outcomes by engaging front-line nurses to maximize their critical thinking skills, understand rationales critically and advocate for high-quality, safe care.
An AACN member since 2007 and an ambassador since 2012, Logan served on the AACN – AACN Certification Corporation Nominating Committee in 2021. She was also a member of the Poster Abstract Review Panel for NTI 2015, a reviewer on the Beacon Award Panel (2015-2016) and a member of the ICU Design Citation Review Panel (2014). Logan is a past member of AACN’s Ventura County Chapter, serving as president (2013-2015) and treasurer (2015-2016). She partnered with three Ventura County (VC) schools of nursing to add the VC-AACN liaison role to their student nurses association boards.
She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Logan earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in executive nursing leadership at University of Nevada, Reno. Her doctorate project was “Preserving the Ambulation and Mobility of the Geriatric Patient in the Acute Care Setting.” She received a Master of Science in Nursing (clinical nurse leader) from the University of San Francisco. Her master’s project was “Protecting the Safety Net Hospital: Reducing the Rate of 30-Day Readmissions at Ventura County Medical Center.”
