Activity Summary

Have you ever wanted to understand how to impact change on your unit, particularly as it relates to implementing evidence-based knowledge or best practices? AACN Clinical Scene Investigator Academy faculty are presenting a series of four sessions on four distinct topics and sharing proven CSI Academy change management concepts and tools. Participants may select any or all four sessions to meet their learning needs. Session 4, Sustaining and Spreading Change topics include: Change management to sustain positive outcomes and scale to other units and crafting contagious communication for buy-in and sustainability. The innovative change management tools and skills learned in these sessions enhance your leadership skills and instill the confidence to initiate changes in behaviors and cultures in your work environment. Participants leave the session with knowledge needed to become leader who are able to guide and partner with their peers to create unit based change.


  • Describe redosing strategies that lead to sustaining a change project.
  • Discuss how to scale a project to another unit, hospital-wide or system-wide.
  • Review methods to disseminate project outcomes.
