Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

This session focuses on the role of APRNs in promoting a healthy work environment. In this foundational session, the Healthy Work Environment Standards and factors associated with an unhealthy work environment are reviewed. Strategies for APRNs promoting and implementing components of the Healthy Work Environment Standards, including a case study approach, are presented. This session also reviews Healthy Work Environment Standards as a strategy for building team resilience and reducing interdisciplinary burnout.

  • Identify the six Healthy Work Environment Standards.
  • Discuss the impact, including burnout, of unhealthy work environments on interdisciplinary team members.
  • Outline strategies for APRNs to promote a healthy work environment and foster resilience among interdisciplinary team members.
