CMC Certification Review Course Online


The course offers nurses who care for cardiovascular patients a convenient opportunity to deepen their level of cardiac knowledge and skill. The CMC review presents a comprensive discussion of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular problems. The program covers acute coronary syndrome, symptomatic dysrhythmias, heart failure, cardiac structural defects, cardiomyopathy, cardiac tamponade, systemic and pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary emboli and  acute inflammatory disease. The course also covers topics such as targeted temperature management (therapeutic hypothermia), pulmonary, endocrine, renal, neurologic, hematologic, and behavioral concerns related to patients with cardiac disease.


Learning Objectives

At the completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

·         Validate your knowledge of critical care nursing prior to sitting for the CMC certification exams.

·         Identify the areas of study you will need to focus on prior to sitting for the CMC certification exams.

·         Describe the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care and the blueprint for the CMC certification exams.
