Eligibility & Fees

The "Alumnus CCRN," "Alumnus CCRN-K," "Alumnus CCRN-E," "Alumnus PCCN" or "Alumnus PCCN-K" designation, written out, may be used on a CV or resume or below an individual's name and credentials on a business card, but may not be used after a signature or on a name badge.

Alumnus status is renewable every 3 years.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Have held CCRN, CCRN-K, CCRN-E, PCCN or PCCN-K certification at some time in the past
  • No longer working with acutely or critically ill patients, or in a teleICU, for enough hours to renew an active CCRN, CCRN-K, CCRN-E, PCCN or PCCN-K certification
  • No submission of CERPs is required


  • Online access to AACN Clinical Voices to keep well-informed of organizational activities and the evolving profession of nursing
  • Eligible to attend the annual Certification Celebration at NTI
