Gifts to AACN support excellence in nursing. They help AACN members improve their bedside practice through professional development and lifelong learning. They fund learning opportunities beyond traditional academic nursing education and help nurses pursue specialized development through programs focused on health policy/advocacy, evidence-based practice and nurse leadership.
Consider making a gift to an AACN fund that supports excellence in nursing:
The Evidence-Based Research Fund
Supports grants that enable clinically relevant research for creating the evidence-based resources that influence high acuity critical care nursing practice.
The Scholarship Endowment Fund
Provides opportunities for high acuity and critical care nurses to hone knowledge and skills in areas such as communication, collaboration, leadership and governance. Supports nurses who pursue specialized development through programs focused on health policy/advocacy, evidence-based practice, nurse leadership and academic preparation for roles that increase their influence.
The Sharon Connor Fund for Leadership Development
As AACN’s former director of operations, Sharon Connor was the consummate mentor and coach who died much too young at the age of 47 of breast cancer. The fund named in her honor provides for leadership development to advance the AACN mission by supporting the Excellence in Chapter Leadership Development award and provides a keynote speaker at the annual Chapter Leadership Development Workshop.
