Celebrating Certified Nurses Year Round

Added to Collection

Certified nurses deserve to be recognized more than once a year on Certified Nurses Day. Two of the most popular ways of honoring these committed individuals and units are special events and walls of honor.

Certification Recognition Events
Certified nurses tell us that special events recognizing their achievements are always well-received. Some ideas to consider:
  • Annual pinning ceremony for new certificants
  • Winthrop University Hospital

  • Certification Dinner
  • Rum River Chapter of AACN
    (Coon Rapids, Minnesota)

  • Professional Practice Certification Breakfast
  • Providence Little Company of Mary

  • Certified Nurse Champion shirt distributed to certified nurses
  • Jefferson General Hospital

Walls of Honor

Walls of Honor in units and hospitals recognize certified nurses in a way that is visible to patients, families, other nurses and interdisciplinary team members. Certified nurses tell us these walls also inspire them to maintain their certification commitment to excellence. We have provided some examples below.
