Project Goals/Objectives
- Improve quality by involving patients in report by June 2016
- Improve safety for patients by decreasing negative patient events by June 2016
- Improve communication between nurses by standardizing report by July 2016
- Improve patients’ knowledge of their care by involving them in their report by June 2016
Project Outcomes
- Decreased nursing incremental overtime during the time period of Aug. 2015 to Aug. 2016
- Improved patient satisfaction via qualitative survey based on discharge phone call data
