Project Overview:

Following the acquisition of our third infusion center last year, many staff members felt that they were missing vital information. All three sites are each in a different county so some information would be different based on location. It was identified that due to a great deal of email fatigue, many pieces of information were getting lost.

We developed a weekly newsletter to gather all the pertinent information staff identified was important to them using survey results. We had a contest for our T-shirt swag to get staff engaged prior to kickoff.

We found as we were halfway to the end of the cohort, we were able to reduce the frequency to bi-weekly newsletters. We put hidden trivia questions in each newsletter to reinvigorate staff participation in reading the newsletters. By the end of our cohort, staff felt they were getting all needed information timely so that they were equipped to provide safe and efficient care.
