Project Goals/Objectives
- Engage staff in using proper safe patient handling and mobility equipment 100 percent of the time
- Increase employee confidence level of safe patient handling and mobility equipment 5 percent in six months
- Eliminate barriers and identify strategies to promote safe patient handling
- Decrease fall rate 3 percent
Project Outcomes
- Increased employees' confidence level with lift equipment
- Reduced fall rate by ten falls as compared to previous year
- Decreased employee injuries since project implementation
- Created a successful grant proposal for purchasing an additional cart
- These outcomes resulted in an estimated fiscal impact of $131,350.
