Project Goals/Objectives

  1. To design a mobility program inclusive of protocol development
  2. To integrate a mobile gym and physical therapy modalities within the critical care environment
  3. To initiate a nurse-led interdisciplinary communication model
Project Outcomes
  1. Decreased the median number of hours from admission to PT evaluation 32 percent
  2. Decreased the median number of hours from admission to OT evaluation 16 percent
  3. Decreased the unit length of stay 9 percent to 3.73 days
  4. Decreased the floor length of stay 9 percent to 4.0 days
  5. These length-of-stay outcomes resulted in a projected annual fiscal impact of $143,454.
