Session Summary

This session provides advanced content on the health disparities specific to the care of the acute and critically ill. This discussion addresses noteworthy strategies to counter the adverse impact of disparate care in this vulnerable patient population.

Objectives

  • Describe health disparities as they relate to the acute care environment and care practices.
