Session Summary

This session presents an evidence-based update on volume assessment strategies for patients in shock. We compare the accuracy, benefits and limitations of invasive tools (eg, picture archiving and communication systems, or PACs), minimally invasive monitors and noninvasive indicators of fluid responsiveness. Learn how to integrate these findings to optimize volume resuscitation and guide timely diuresis.
