Session Summary

Bias, whether conscious or not, can affect clinical decisions, patient safety, and team relationships. This session explores the science of bias in healthcare and introduces practical methods to recognize and reduce its effects. Through guided self-reflection, interactive discussion, and realistic case studies, participants explore how bias awareness enhances collaboration, care quality and ethical leadership. This session is ideal for nurse leaders and educators who are committed to improving safety, communication and clinical integrity across care teams.
