Session Summary

Contemporary cardiogenic shock care is built on skilled communication, true collaboration and shared decision-making. Well-coordinated, hub-and-spoke shock networks extend beyond a single unit or hospital to reach entire cities, regions and health networks. This allows multidisciplinary shock teams and local heart teams to work cohesively, ensuring patients have consistent access to the advanced cardiogenic shock care they need. Explore this evolving landscape of shock care and the key role critical care nurses play to get the right patients to the right place for the right level of care.
