Session Summary

Healthcare professionals are increasingly using social media for education, advocacy and career development, yet many lack training in digital ethics and legal compliance. This session provides evidence-based strategies for creating professional content to enhance patient education while maintaining professional boundaries and legal standards.

  • Analyze current evidence on healthcare professional social media use and its impact on patient engagement and professional development.
  • Describe ethical frameworks and legal guidelines to create professional digital content while maintaining patient confidentiality.
