Session Summary

As burnout and turnover challenge critical care nursing, a healthy work environment is vital for retention, engagement and outcomes. This interactive roundtable goes beyond theory and is grounded in real-world strategies leading to sustained improvements. Attendees collaborate to build a toolkit of evidence-based practices, foster community and identify actionable strategies to support a healthier, happier and more resilient workforce.

Objectives

  • Analyze the impact of AACN’s Healthy Work Environment (HWE) standards on nurse well-being and retention.
  • Develop a list of actionable strategies to mitigate burnout and increase staff engagement.
  • Generate innovative, community-driven, collaborative solutions to burnout and high turnover in critical care.
