Chapter Presidents’ Luncheon-Concurrent Session

Session Summary

A 60-minute educational presentation about the guest speaker’s medical condition/ailment, the speaker’s personal healthcare experience and the impact of their care team. This event provides information about a particular health issue and how nursing’s involvement in the guest speaker’s treatment journey played a vital role in that recovery.

Objectives

Explain the ways nurses influence and provide the best care possible as they enhance their commitment to their nursing career.
Summarize from a patient’s perspective how important nursing is to the general public and share the knowledge with colleagues.
Describe the particular disease or medical condition discussed by the presenter.
