Session Summary

Hospitals are increasingly adopting delivery robots—although there’s no way of telling how frontline staff really feel about working alongside them. This session explores insights from nurses, pharmacy and ancillary staff following robot implementation in a large tertiary hospital. Attendees gain practical understanding of how robots impact workflow, teamwork and staff efficiency—and leave with considerations for successful integration in their own settings.

Objectives

  • Describe the interdisciplinary perceptions of hospital staff following the implementation of delivery robots in a tertiary care setting.
  • Identify the impact of delivery robots on clinical workflows for nurses, pharmacy and ancillary staff.
  • Evaluate opportunities for integrating robotic technology to support staff efficiency and optimize delivery tasks in hospital settings.
