Session Summary

Anxiety and stress are common in adults and older adults recovering from myocardial infarction, and can lead to recurrent ischemia, arrhythmias, adverse cardiac events, reduced quality of life and higher mortality. This session presents findings from the mMEDITATION randomized controlled trial, which reports on the effect of an 8-week mHealth meditation intervention compared to a cardiovascular education attention-control intervention on adults and older adults with myocardial infarction.
