Session Summary

Peer support plays a vital role in addressing second-victim syndrome—the emotional distress healthcare workers experience following adverse clinical events. Symptoms include guilt, anxiety, burnout and fatigue. This wellness rounding program provides proactive support to reduce stigma, enhance emotional resilience and connect staff to wellness resources. This presentation outlines a step-by-step implementation process, using lectures and interactive dialogue to equip attendees with practical tools to replicate the program in their own settings.
