Date Tuesday 5/19/2026
Time 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM PT

Session Summary

Using data gathered from more than 3,500 clinicians, including nurses, providers and leaders from a variety of health systems across the country, this session reveals important findings on the impact of silence on patient safety, staff turnover and a vital facet of the world today: behavioral agility, or the speed with which hospitals and clinics are able to adopt new technologies and treatments. The buzz about AI suggests AI itself could transform healthcare. This study suggests the real constraint on progress in healthcare is the capacity of the human system to absorb new ideas. Attend this session to learn about the research findings and the leadership strategies you need to build cultures of dialogue and greater agility to meet the challenges—and opportunities—of the future.

Objectives

  • Describe behavioral agility and how it affects the adoption of innovative practices such as AI.
  • Identify the crucial moments that most affect patient safety and innovation velocity.
  • Evaluate how leaders can influence rapid, profound, and sustainable improvement in cultural candor.
