Session Summary

Joint Commission surveys don’t have to feel like a game of hide-and-seek. This interactive session reframes the survey process as an opportunity for partnership rather than inspection. Participants explore real-world strategies to help organizations move from reactive preparation to a culture of continuous readiness. Through practical examples, leadership insights and frontline-focused tactics, attendees learn how to confidently show, rather than just tell about, their work, engage staff at all levels and build systems to support ongoing compliance and patient safety, long before surveyors arrive.

Objectives

  • Evaluate and reduce survey-related anxiety.
  • Apply actionable approaches that foster collaboration with Joint Commission surveyors.
  • Illustrate how to support ongoing compliance through everyday operational practices.
Topics Standards
Population Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal, Across-the-Lifespan, Geriatric
