Session Summary

This session introduces nurses to practical, safe and ethical uses of artificial intelligence across clinical care, teaching and learning, evidence‑based practice, research and quality improvement. Participants explore how AI enhances decision‑making, accelerates knowledge acquisition and supports data‑driven practice while examining key considerations such as bias, transparency and professional responsibility.

Objectives

  • Describe how artificial intelligence supports clinical decision‑making, teaching and learning strategies, evidence‑based practice, research workflows and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze AI capabilities and AI‑enabled strategies to enhance learning, streamline knowledge acquisition and strengthen clinical reasoning.
  • Evaluate opportunities and limitations of AI integration in nursing practice, including ethical, legal and professional considerations.
